This has been a great summer for me make-up-wise. I have thoroughly enjoyed trying out new foundations, new colours, new lipsticks etc. and spending! I’ve added new things to my beauty wishlist, but I’m trying to stick to a monthly budget.

Since I live in a sunny climate, I don’t think it will be unreasonable to keep using many of these “summer” colours. For example, I have really enjoyed the pop of colour on my lips provided by Calypso. And I think that the Violet Underground Palette will transition nicely into the Fall with its vampy colours. I know the blue mascara rotates in (and out) of fashion at a dizzying pace, but I like how I look with it, nor do I particularly follow trends so…. the YSL is looking good for repurchasing. I know the rage is using quality tools, but honestly, outside of the Real Techniques brushes I have yet to step up in this arena. I’m too busy buying makeup to buy brushes, but I really need brushes for the flawless application of said make-up.
I love this stuff! What about you? What did you turn to over and over this summer. What do you plan on using into the Fall? Have you started shopping the fall collections?? I like the look of the Tom Ford 2012 Fall Collection, but his price point is a big OUCH for me.
I’m watching “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” with Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell as I write this. I know what kind of make-up look I’ll have on tomorrow.
