Another Epic Empties Post 5 – Dec/January

Oh gosh, I so should have written this in December, but I was just too lazy:(  And the more products I used up, the more I procrastinated…. and now I am in big trouble writing this post.  Will have to make it pic heavy and less wordy.  Me.. less wordy, let’s see if that’s possible!

All the Philosophy items were a gift from a girlfriend and my intro to the brand.  I’ve only repurchased one of the items…

Philosophy Purity One-step Facial Cleanser – oh my %$^&, I hate it when I have to use a second cleanser after my cleanser.  I know the blogosphere raves about this, but for me it it did nothing.  Even when I used it with my brush, I would still have make-up left on my face.
Philosophy The Micro-delivery Exfoliating Wash – I liked this much better.  However, I’m not really into cleanser exfoliators since I use a brush and  glycolic products so will not repurchase.
Philosophy Hope in a Jar oil-free SPF 30 – This is actually the full size that I bought after I finished the sample size that was part of the gift.  This kept me nice and matte during the summer.
Yes-to-Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 – Will keep repurchasing this for as long as they make it. I just wish the SPF was higher then I would never need to look elsewhere.
Olay ProX brush head – my cheap butt could not bring myself to spend big money on the Clarisonic so I got this cheapie instead and I LOVE it.
Olay Regenerist Micro-exfoliating Wet Cleansing wipes– just another set of wipes.  I like these and will probably repurchase.
Neurogena Naturals Make-up Remover face wash – Much better for the summer when I mskin is a little oilier, too stripping when the weather cooled down.  Will not repurchase.

Make-up Products
Holy Cow, I was a mascara-using fool these last few months!  Can’t believe I finished 3 full sized mascaras! I also finished a lippie – the Clinique Chubby Stick in Mega Melon.  That was a challenge, especially since I was not totally in love with the colour.

Lancome Definicils High Definition Mascara in Black – another mascara that did not wok for me – will not repurchase.
Voluminous False Fiber Lashes in Black – I totally don’t get the hype about this one. Good thing it was a freebie with my points from ULTA.
YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils in Indigo – will definitely repurchase!  This just made my eyes pop and I love the effect on my eyelashes and it’s on my repurchase list.
Sample size – Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold volume Lifting Mascara in Black

Chanel Le Volume mascara – I still had product in it but I dropped it in a sink full of water and eeewwww.  Was sad to toss it as it’s my holy grail but healthy eyes first.
Almay Eye Make-up Remover Pads – I really like these, especially for travel.  Will repurchase.
Clinique Colour Surge Eyeshadow quartet – GWP quartet that really did nothing for me.  Could never make the colours work for me.  And now it’s just so old, its not worth keeping.

There! Done!  Quite a few things that I really liked this time around. Total satisfaction of throwing things in the recycle bin.  What about you, what did you finish and love this month?  What did you force yourself to finish this month?

Thanks for stopping by and stay blessed.

  1. Great post am due to do empties post I finished lush rub rub scrub, lush bubblegum scrub, lancome mousse eclat cleanser, miss dior cherie etc

I still wanna try philosophy products and yes to carrots!

  2. cant wait to see your empties post! I seem to be in the minority not being too impressed with the philosophy products, but the Yes to range is amazing, and not too full of chemicals and stuff.
