Things I spent money on in 2012

I admit it, I can be a bit of a purse whore.  Really, I love them. I consider my purses my mobile art collection that I can wear and admire at all times, instead of real art that can only hang in one place.  I store them lovingly in their dustbags, and take more time choosing what bag to wear than I do the actual clothes that I wear.  However, As much as I love my purses, I love the contents of my wallet even more.  So, as much as I dream of Hermes, Chanel, Louis and Prada – my wallet screams budget, budget, BUDGET!  Sometimes I hate being sensible. But it is, at the end of the day, more important for me to have financial security for my family than it is to have a purse.

I purchased two Coach purses last year.I know Michael Kors is all the rage right now, but I am totally in love with the new leather Coach purchases. I also bought one of my dream bags, that I totally forgot to photograph:( And the beloved wallet that I purchased after having an epiphany about money a few months ago.

I have quite a lengthy wish-list again this year – Prada Saffiano, Louis Vuitton Epi Alma and Empreinte Speedy, Hermes Jypsiere and Chanel GST, and of course more Coach!! Quite a lot but if I put my purse “wants” out in the universe and the universe is sure to respond right?! Hopefully sooner rather than later. I’ll check back next to year and see what I actually did purchase. I also know that all of these are very expensive purses, but you know, we all have our vices.  Plus, I’m more than willing to buy pre-loved… especially Hermes.  Actually, that one is more of a five-year plan.

What about you?  What will you frivolously splurge on this year? Purses, shoes, make-up? What will you pass on in order to save a little cash?

  1. I love to splurge on shoes but I totally agree with you; taking care of the family is a priority. I love, love your latest buys. The colors are very vibrant and chic.I was going to follow your blog but did not see the GFC button.

  2. That’s okay Neo. For me, blogging is not about the number of followers but about the interaction and making friends. I’m glad I found your blog; now we can share mommy gists!…:)
