February & March Empties – Tiny

I considered not posting these empties at all since there are so few.  But then I thought, why not, they are still items that I purchased and used up. Actually, I think this is a much more realistic tally of what I use up during the course of 1-2months.  The large empties posts are the anomalies.

BTW, I love these types of posts and always look forward to the end of the month so I can read the blogposts and watch the videos on YouTube.

Yes to Carrots Moisturizer, Cerave, Estee Lauder, Almay & Tata Harper

Say Yes to Carrots Moisturizer
I’m addicted to this one.  I’ve written about it repeatedly.  Already repurchased.

Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser
I actually really LIKED this, according to the website it has 83% organic content and I am always looking for natural products.  It is a great exfoliant, and is non-scratchy and non-drying.  My dry winter skin did not feel ravaged after I used it.  I was rotating this with my Olay Pro-X brush head and my skin was glowing! I would have repurchased it without a second thought, except for the $75 price tag.  Yep… $75, for a cleanser.  Lucky for me I haven’t crossed that line of insanity in my skincare adventures, although I do have to admit that I am very tempted.  Any suggestions for a gentle exfoliant?

Estee Lauder Renutriv Ultimate Lift Age-correcting Eye Creme
I love this too!  But again, due to its incredibly high price of $125, I only love it when I can get it as a sample jar in one of those EL GWPs.  Big Sigh.  The good thing is that little sample jar usually lasts a good 3-4 months.

Cerave Moisturizing Lotion
My dermatologist gave me this sample.  To be honest, I don’t remember much about it.  It didn’t break me out and that is a plus.  I am awfully tempted to get my hands on another sample just to see if I like it.  I probably have not bought a full size version because I love the Say Yes to Carrots so much:)

Almay Makeup Remover Towlettes
I bought these as I had liked the Almay Eye Makeup Remover pads which were really good at cleaning up my eyes.  This is no where near as good as the remover pads, but it’s pretty decent.  About 2-3 would take off my foundation and blush, but that seems to be pretty standard for this type of cleanser.  I have a stash of Say Yes to Blueberry wipes so I won’t repurchase for now, although I would consider them again in the future.

Vickey & Clarke, Yes to Cucumbers Color Care Leave-in Conditioner and Neurtogena UltraSheer Dry Touch Sunblock

Vickey & Clarke Honey Milk Bath
I’m pretty sure my next statement is going to be TMI, but as much as I liked using this for my bedtime bath, I was always afraid that this would lead to some kind of icky female situation… if you catch my drift.  So I used it sparingly.  Made a great bubble bath though.

Yes to Cucumber Leave-in Conditioner
This was just a little too oily, and weirdly strengthening at the same. I like strengthening products, but they can make my hair feel brittle and dry.  I had to mix this with a water-based moisturizer to try to make it palatable but it just didn’t work for my ‘fro.   It left a weird film on my hair.  Very disappointed as the ingredient made it sound so promising and natural and luscious.  Bummer.

Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry Touch Sunblock
Love- simply as it does not leave me ashy.  Plus non-sticky.  I’m going to pick this up at Costco soon as summer is right around the corner.

Make-up Products

Milani Lipgloss and Kevin Aucoin Volume Mascara

Milani Glamour Gloss 3D Glitzy
Yeah! I finished a lippie!  So proud of this as it’s so hard for me to finish lip products.  I liked this, it was cheap and shiny.  A little on the sticky side.  I wasn’t terribly in love with the colour either.  I might repurchase a different type of Milani gloss just to try something new.

Kevin Aucoin Volume Mascara
It took me a minute to realize that this is one of those mascaras that adds fibers to your eyelashes – for a while I thought my lashes were falling out!  Lol, sometimes I am simple like that.  I thought this was pretty decent, but it took a gazillion applications to make me look like I have lashes.  Granted, I have little short stubby ones to begin with but come-on:(  I was happy to have purchased this with a coupon and will not repurchase.

Well, I guess this isn’t that bad for an empties post.  What about you?  What have you used up lately?

Stay blessed and thanks for stopping by!
