Oh boy, I had no intention of buying any new mascaras since I have recently built up quite a stash… but I simply couldn’t resist. Alber Elbaz is one of my favourite designers. I love what he is doing at Lanvin, and his HM collection was just simply pretty! I’m a die-hard girly-girly and his whimsical approach to fashion and life in general gives me joy. Anyone who walks around looking that dapper, all the time, is on to something.

I had yet to try the Hypnose Star mascara, and after a lengthy discussion with sales associate at Macy’s, I settle on this one. She really tried to push the Definicils mascara on me but I truly hate it. Told her to suggest something else unless she wanted to lose a sale – sorry, I have little patience for sales people who don’t listen to the customer. We ended up settling on this… and I like it. My eyelashes weren’t as “fat” as I would have liked, but they were lengthened and had no clumps. I was seriously tempted by the Doll Lashes Colour Palette, but my wallet decided otherwise:( Plus, I’m just not a huge fan of Lancome eyeshadows so it was easy to walk away.

I’m not a make-up collector: I use everything that I buy, before recycling the packaging. But I have to admit, this little tube might end up in my stash long after all the product is used!
These are limited edition, but only $1-$2 more than the typical Lancome mascaras – really happy they didn’t try to charge too much extra for the LE packaging. I bought mine at my local Macy’s, and it looks like they are available pretty much everywhere, including the Lancome website.
What about you, did you pick anything up from this collection yet? Are you going to use it, or will it just look whimsical on your vanity?
Stay blessed and thanks for stopping by!
