Foundation Wishlist

There are so many new foundations out that I have been fantasizing about.  Have you guys had a chance to try the new Estee Lauder and Dior Star foundations?  I have samples from Estee Lauder and will be purchasing shortly.  I also have the Marc Jacobs Genius Gel on the list, plus I need a back-up of the Chanel Perfection Lumiere in #94, which is sadly, being discontinued.  I’ve heard they are reformulating the darker shades to minimize oxidation.  Keeping my fingers crossed that is true.

The Dior folks have added a new shade – 80, to their shades for WOC.  There are now, 4-5 shades that would suit WOC and I love it, there used to be only 50 and 70.

Sisley Phyto Teint Eclat Foundation

I was really tempted by the Sisley Foundation, but I didn’t have a good colour match.  For that price point ($122 – ouch) I want a perfect match.  I like Sisley products, but I always wonder if they are worth the money.  I’m always willing to splurge on high-end products, but I have to feel like I’m getting my moneys worth.

Fusion Ink Foundation

I’m also intrigued by the YSL Fusion Ink foundation, but the shade selection looks limited.  I have to go get a sample.  This is why I love shopping from the department store, you get to try it out first.

I also have quite a few other foundation samples that I will be testing soon: Kat Von D, Becca and Guerlain. I will post with swatches similar to my previous foundation smorgasbord posts here and here.

As per usual, thanks for stopping by.  What foundations is everyone loving right now?  Stay blessed.

  1. I think I’m going to buy a foundation soon. So far I’ve been using Even Better by Clinique, but I think I’m gonna buy something without SPF, because I use foundation most of all in the evening, while for the day I prefer a colored moisturizer. Even if I just saw a foundation by Dior that seems interesting (Natalie Portman is a great ambassador for the house of Dior, she makes me want to buy everything!) I’ll probably buy a foundation by Urban Decay, one of my favorite brands, because it’s cruelty free.

    1. I cant wait to try the Dior, and yes, Ms. Portman could sell anything beauty related to me too! I thought there was debate as to whether UD is still considered cruelty free since it was bought by l’Oreal?

  2. Great post hun❤️ there is so much to choose from gosh I’m overwhelmed lol on the Chanel issue they should watch how other brands are catering to women of colour, I’m loving Diorskin nude, Ysl Fusion Ink and Estée Lauder doublewear stay in place makeup. In colder months I shall reach for my Nars radiant cream compact

    1. Well I hope the Chanel issue turns out well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the best result, but honestly, in today’s everchanging beauty landscape, WOC have so many options for where we can spend our money!
