I think it’s pretty funny that I have purchased less in the month that I have been off my no-buy than during it. Nothing too outrageous, just a few items that I really wanted.
Chanel Coco Noir Perfume – the big bottle I received after a horrible incident at Saks is almost finished so I purchased a back-up. I’ve met a lovely SA at Saks who always has my items waiting for me at her station. This is fantastic as I sometimes just want to run in and out and not be bothered.
Please see my Dior Star Foundation review here.
Nyx Simply Red Lip Cream and Nyx Butter Creme in Angel Food Cake – grabbed these when Nyx was on sale at Ulta. I love the Butter Cremes and they have become a staple in my stash!
Milani Gel Eyeshadow Bella Bronze in and Nail Laquer in Modern Rouge – I know there are mixed reviews about the Gel Eyeshadows, but I’ve enjoyed them so far. I used the nail polish and it lasted about 4 days with the Seche Vite Top Coat before it started chipping. This is pretty standard wear time for me, and I am considering purchasing different colours.
Lorac Pro Matte Lipstick – I swatched this at Ulta and instantly had to get it. Reminds me of the NARS version, but cheaper. Haven’t really played with it yet.
I also had the Amrezy Palette but I gave it away in an Instagram giveaway and I returned a mini Smashbox Palette. I was really excited by the Smashbox at first, till I saw the size. Honestly, $22 for this little dinky thing the size of a credit card? That really irritated me. I took it back, I hate it when I feel brands are trying to rip us off.
For skincare I’m trying the Reviva Labs Sun Protective Moisturizer, now the packaging didn’t mention the spf but I looked it up online and it is SPF 25. I did find this very moisturizing and had no major issues, no breakouts or clogged pores. I’m already practically finished with the tub and will consider repurchasing.
On the other hand, the Yes-to-Coconuts wipes are pure rubbish. It takes about 4 wipes to clean off foundation, and they actually sting pretty bad. Not as harsh as the grapefruit version, but enough to make me curse them when I get to wipe #2. I must admit, I’m using them up to clean everything in site in an effort to finish them and breathe a sigh of relief. Not recommended.
Well thanks so much for stopping by. What have you added to your stash lately? Will have my review on the 2014 Guerlain Holiday collection up soon so make sure to stick around for that. Stay blessed!
