Im just going too start this post by hanging my head in shame…. that should really set the appropriate tone for this installment. I should officially re-name this Project Fail, mkayyyy. In my defense, I now work from home 4 days a week, thereby having far less opportunities to wear my
warface-paint. If anything, at most I will slap on a lippie, mascara and concealer (just so i don’t scare the kids at my daughters school when I drop her off), and that’s about it.
Here is where we started July 2014.
Here is where we stood in October 2014 – looks pretty much the same…
And… here we are in January 2015….sad. I think I should have chosen less powder products and more lippies. I’m a beast at finishing lippies.
Let me cut to the chase and start with the items that are COMPLETELY untouched since October. I mean, except for the purposes of this photoshoot, these items have literally sat on my desk and taunted me.
Chanel Les Beiges #60 Powder – well….I’m not too sure what’s happened here. I typically don’t use any powder during the dry winter skin months so… yeah, that’s my only reason.
Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup Foundation – I’ve been so heavily focused on the Nars that this fell by the way side. Then I bought the new Dior Star foundation and COMPLETELY forgot about both of these.
Nars Liberte Blush – so…. yep. Lost in the muji-stack…somewhere.
Here are the products I’ve touched a little:
Estee Lauder Highlighter in Shimmering Sands – still an all time favourite, just temporarily seduced by the Becca Highlights Liquid trio.
Lorac Pro Palette – I’ve actually used this quite a bit. On the 2 days a week that I do wear eye make-up it’s always this palette. I still love it and I’m hoping to hit pan on atleast two of these colours – Garnet and Sable before the project is over.
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Macao – I’ve made a lot of progress on this one. It takes quite a bit of time for foundation to come pouring out (I don’t have a pump on the bottle). But I have to be honest and say that I’m totally over it and will probably toss it soon. It’s as close to done as it will ever be and sometimes it’s just time to move on.
Here are my rockstar products!
Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick in #70 – down to a nub and not much more. I made an active decision to stop using this one until I have purchased another one. One of my favourite lippies ever, I just hate having to pay $50 for it. Ouch.
MAC Cork Lipliner – back up already purchased and waiting to be put in rotation. I may not wear much face makeup anymore, but I always wear lipstick and liner.
So that’s it. I’ve been following Rocaille over here and she makes gangbusters progress and makes me feel even lazier. I must do better! I will do better. Wish me luck! What kind of progress do you make with your beauty projects.
