Project Make-a-Dent 9months in!

Lorac Pro Palette

I want to burst into song!  I finally hit pan on a product.  A powder product.  The angels are singing.  I think I’ve been re-dedicated to making an effort on this project after the total lack of progress I made in the previous six months.

So, basically I focused on a few products to really dig through.  The Estee Lauder highlighter, the Nars Sheer Glow and the Chanel Les Beiges show significant dents.

But the star of the show is that I hit pan on the Estee Lauder Shimmering Sands highlighter.  My absolute favourite highlighter, but boy, am I glad to see the bottom of this. I’ve never hit pan on a powder before… ever!  I’ve got quite a way to go before I hit pan on the Chanel powder, but I’m back to enjoying using it.

And lo and behold, I have finished a foundation!  The NARS Sheer Glow in Macao is officially kaput! Done! No more! And not a moment too soon.  Just couldn’t bare to use it anymore.  I’ve got two new foundations that I cant wait to really dig into and this just made it even more difficult to continue using this particular one. Pity the bottle still looks full.

As you know, I went as far as I wanted to with the Guerlain Rouge G lippie and decided to stop using it.  But I tried to hide it from myself, and now I cant find it! It will show up eventually, and I have a backup as necessary.  Also missing in action is the MAC Cork Liner.  I had it, I was using it, it has disappeared.  Probably lost in the recesses of a purse I used some time back. I’ve been using its replacement, this is a lipliner I will ALWAYS have!

Not much progress on EL foundation and NARS Liberte blush

Now, lets move on to the less loved items.  I’m back to traveling for work again so I’ve been pulling the Lorac Pro Palette out for my journeys.  My plan was to hit pan on at least two eyeshadows and it’s slow-going so far.

I’ve gotten a lot of sun lately going to baseball games and laying out by the pool so I’m getting tan enough to start using the Estee Lauder foundation.  I’ll put it into rotation soon. The Nars Liberte blush and the NYX Desert Rose blush are completely untouched, most of my blushes are.  Working from home has really put a damper on my make-up wearing.

Not much more to report I’m afraid.  Just enjoy looking at the fabulous pan on the EL highlighter.  I’ve got until July to hit my goals.  Wish me luck.

Stay blessed and thanks for visiting.

  1. Congratulations! I know how hard it is to hit pan on makeup products and the joy that is felt when it is achieved! Wow hitting pan on a highlighter (never done it) something I will have to plan to do. Can’t wait to see what you finish next 🙂
