May’s Beauty Budget

I’ve recently read some fashion blogs that have a monthly post about all the money spent on items posted on their blog for the month.  I like the idea and think I’m going to copy that idea. You list your monthly budget, and how much you actually spent. Only one itty bitty problem, I don’t usual start off the month with a beauty budget, I just kinda spend as I go along.  I don’t think it’s a lot, i never think it is, but since I never track it… I don’t really know how good or bad it is.

I wish I had thought to start this during a month when I spent more money on beauty items.  So, will have to start spending some money to make this worth reading.

$12 – random hair products and cleansing wipes for travel

$14 L’Oreal mascara and lippie

$10 MAC Fix+ for travel.  Also got an eyeshadow with the B2M program but I have already misplaced it (grrr!)

$22 for both the Reviva Labs Sun Protective Moisturizer SPF 25 and Brighten and Lighten Cleansing Facial Cleanser

$85 on waxing with my fabulous waxing lady (eyebrows and brazil – if you know what I mean.)

$148 Total – not bad for one month.  Let’s see how this goes along as I make a serious effort to curb my spending on beauty, hair and skincare products.

I’ll have a review of the Reviva Labs products coming soon.  I like some of their products and I’m on a mission to try to use more natural products in my routine.  Now if only I could cut out wine and meat I would have the cleanest body in the world!

  1. That was quite a nice amount for the month of May and since I do not really get the eyebrow wax and Brazil combo, I’ll have to check back here to see if you left me a hint…:-).
    Have a great weekend.

    1. hahahav- “brazil” as in a brazilian wax for the bikini area. Have a good weekend too, and thanks for stopping by.

  2. Lol at you having to spend more money to make it worth reading! I do think May was one of your thriftier months 🙂
What did you think of the Jane Carter Solution?

  3. I love the Jane Carter Solution, I think this is my 3rd bottle. I like liquid leave-ins coz they make detangling my daughters hair so much easier.
