I went at it hard this last month. My declutter/use-it-up/toss it streak has continued. I was so sad to see 3 foundations expire and need to be tossed. I have one more that will need to be tossed soon so watch this space.
Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk – Shea Moisture hair products are amazing. This softened up my daughters curls and made detangling a breeze. No greasy residue left behind. I didn’t find it too moisturizing on its own so you definitely need to layer it with other products. User your Ulta coupons to snag a deal or pick it up from amazon.
Dior Addict IT Lash – I’m not usually a fan of Dior mascaras but this one I love and have already re-purchased. I really liked this brush and its many, many fibres/spokes. I usually find that if a brush doesn” grab at my stumpy lashes, then regardless of the mascara formula, it just wont work for me. This is highly recommended.
Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic Acid 10% Moisturizer and Hydrating Gel – I can’t rave about this product and the corresponding gel/serum enough. I believe in both manual and chemical exfoliation and these are strong enough to clear your skin but don’t burn a layer off either. Although I have to say, if you are new to glycolic acid, follow the directions and use with a light hand. I’ve been using these two products for perhaps 3-4years and my skin has never looked better.
Reviva Labs Sun Protective Moisturizer – This was my 5th if not 6th bottle. Except for the jar container I have no complaints about this one. Highly recommended. You can pick it up at your local “vegan” type stores.
First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser – Used this one to the last drop, and bought a larger size as replacement. It didn’t leave my skin too dry but instead feeling nice and squeaky clean. I’m excited to try other First Aid Beauty products and recommend this one to my readers.
NARS Lip Pencil from Sephora Gift set – this was the birthday freebie gift. I was surprised by how quick I used it up. It was a bit pale, but with the right lipliner it worked for a great casual daytime look. Sephora always has really cute birthday gifts, I’m always happy to pick mine up during my birthday month.
Reviva Lab Brighten & Lighten Facial Cleanser – the second ingredient in this cleanser after water is vegetable oil. And I could feel it. It makes this cleanser a bit greasy, and I needed a second sudsy cleanser after using this. Plus it was any good at removing make-up. I wanted to try a new cleanser and this one was an oily dismal fail. Will not repurchase.
L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga ROCK – ick. This one sucked. I should have stuck to the original, but since I liked that one so much, I thought this one might be an improvement. NOT. Maybe it was just the brush that I didn’t like. The fibers are so short and the formula so goopy, the brush couldn’t grab a-hold of my short lashes. It would just leave a wet smudge everywhere.
Foundations – Covergirl Queen3-in-1 Foundation, Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup.
Foundation Samples – This is what I love about department store/Sephora shopping. You get to try it first. I have a few more of these to use.
Glamglow Cleanser Sample – wow, this was a goopy mess. It’s like they added water to the mask and expect you to wash your face with it. It’s so rough and brittle on the face, it actually hurt. This one didn’t work for me. There are other less abrasive exfoliants on the market.
Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Let me know what you have used up lately. I have quite a big Sephora VIB sale post coming up. I was going to record a video and post it on YouTube, but I think I am a bit late jumping on that bandwagon. Let me know what videos you would like to see. As always, thanks for stopping by.
