How to Crush Your Goals for the Remainder of 2016

It’s simple really – decide and persevere.

Only life isn’t really that simple is it?  I mean I think as humans we need at least 5 steps to make something “easy”, anything less than that and our minds explode with incomprehension.  But accomplishing your goals really does come down to two things – decide that you are going to do it, and then stick to it until you do it.  Decide and persevere.


Yes, granted, there is that little pre-step of choosing a goal. For most of us, KNOWING what we what is difficult, the battle is already lost right there.  IF anything, most of us know what we DON’T WANT. But there in lies the rub, use that as a starting point to discovering what you want.

And then the little mini-step of committing to what you want, but that really is a sub-step of both deciding and persevering.  However, in the effort of making things simple by complicating them, this one is a biggie. Focus on your goal and what it is that you want to accomplish.

And last but not least is the final non-step of gratitude/celebration/closure. Those also run concurrent to deciding and persevering, but surely you understand that by now.  Be grateful for your starting point and celebrate your progress to keep yourself motivated. And thank your glam-squad, those who genuinely help you along the way.

Are you wondering why a beauty blogger is writing a motivational post?  Me too.  But this beauty blogger has been so distracted by her goal crushing activity that she wanted to change focus just a tiny lil bit.

It’s June 2.  You have one more month till the mid-point of the year.  Which of your goals have you crushed?

Ive completed 4 out of my 5 big goals for the year, including:

Managed to maintain my project management certification for another three years.

I started training for, entered and won a trophy in a bikini fitness competition.

I’m also currently in Botswana visiting family.

I’m not bragging. I really am not.  Quite frankly I am exhausted, its been a lot to do over the last few months.  I’ve seen the impact on my family too.  My drive and ambition can be just as exhausting for those around me. Which is why it’s good to surround yourself with a good team. To keep your plans close to your chest so you can have less negative feedback and distracting chatter. Focus on you, your goals, your desires, and love.  Focus on love, gratitude and committing to your goals.

I’ll go into more details soon.  I wanted to post so you could remember that I am still here.  Thanks for all the love on my IG and my videos and here.

    1. I’m working on a post detailing the process! I think the diet was more important than the workout routine to be honest.
