July and August Beauty Budget, How did I do?

Well… talk about a rebound in the other direction in my attempts at a beauty budget. How much did I spend in beauty products during the month of July? $9 on a face wash.  Boo-yah. Call me the queen of mean and frugal.  Compared to June’s Beauty Budget, I did really well.  I did what I always do what I spend a lot and then spent nothing.  I’m still trying out the face wash that I purchased so I review will be forthcoming. Yep, that was July.  I nailed it.  August – not so much.  Sigh, and then came the swing in the other direction with my Beauty Budget.

Andalou Naturals Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk $9

Bioderma $32 – my friend was in Canada and I couldn’t help but ask her to get me one! Best impulse decision because I finished my old bottle and was planning on re-purchasing anyway. Read my thoughts on this product here and here.

Cinemasecrets Pro Brush Cleaner $26- oh my brush cleaning Gods where have you been all my life?  Angels singing and all that good stuff.  Full review coming soon – worth every penny and already plotting on purchasing a big bottle during the Sephora sale.

Urban Decay Naked Heat $54 – you knew it was going to happen. Just bummed that I couldn’t hold out till a sale or coupon from Ulta, but I did have a gift card so I only paid $40. And I like it so no regrets.

Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter $10 – I went around to a bunch a pharmacies and of course couldn’t find it. But a beauty consultant at Walgreens was kind enough to let me know that they can order anything for you on the website and have it delivered to the store for free within 2 days.  Who knew?

Shiseido Facial Cotton Squares $8 (20% off during Ulta Sale) – I remember when these used to sell for $8… when did the price creep up to $10? A staple is a staple is a staple.  I will be buying these for as long as they make them. Read my thoughts on these here and here.

Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray (20% off during Ulta Sale) and I had $6 in Ulta money so final spend was $23.  I totally fell for the hype and haven’t even opened the bottle.  But I am definitely looking forward to trying this one.

NYX Lipliner (20% off during Ulta Sale) – $3 sometimes I just buy these out of love and habit.

Charlotte Tillbury Lipstick in Birkin Brown $32 – purchased with Nordstrom giftcard so $0.  I love it when I cash in my credit card points for gift cards.  But ALWAYS PAY YOUR BILL IN FULL EVERY MONTH.

Dr Lancer The Method – the set was #complimentary and gifted to me via a #voxbox on Influenster. Review coming soon.  I was impressed with some of the products and will keep using them after the initial 2 week testing period.

What did you spend your money on the month of July and August?  Mine was $151 + taxes. An average of $75 a month for July and August.  I have to average it out to stop from diving off the deep end about August.  And the sad part is that September is even worse.  And it’s only 9/10 as I right this. I tell myself it’s not so bad since I don’t buy clothes nor shoes much. Just coffee and make-up and the occasional skincare.  What do you think, what did your June and August Beauty Budget look like? Go ahead judge me, I already judged myself.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
